This Privacy Policy explains what information Mintbit, LLC (“Mintbit,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit mintbit.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain language.

Scope. This policy applies to mintbit.com and to our consulting services. Software products operated by Mintbit, LLC under their own brands have their own privacy policies, available on each product’s website.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form to request a quote or ask a question, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and your message. When you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address. When you message our support team, we collect the contents of that conversation.
Job applications. When you apply for a position with us, we collect the information you submit — such as your name, contact details, and resume — and use it to evaluate your application and communicate with you about it.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect usage data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you arrived at our site. Most of this collection happens only if you consent to it, as described in the next section.
We don’t ask for or seek to collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or precise geolocation data), and we ask that you not include it in form submissions or support messages.
Information Related to Our Consulting Services
Client relationship information. When you or your company engage us for consulting services, we collect and keep business contact details for the people we work with, along with contracts, billing information, and project communications. We use this to deliver our services, manage the engagement, invoice, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and we retain it for the duration of the relationship and as long afterward as our record-keeping and legal obligations require.
Data we handle on behalf of clients. In the course of an engagement, we may access or process data held in a client’s systems, which can include personal information belonging to the client’s own customers, users, or employees. When we do, we act on the client’s instructions as a service provider, and that data is governed by our agreement with the client — not by this Privacy Policy. We don’t use it for our own purposes. If your personal information is in a client’s systems and you want to exercise privacy rights over it, please direct your request to that organization; if a request reaches us instead, we’ll refer it to the client.
Cookies, Analytics, and Consent
We do not load analytics, session replay, or advertising scripts — or set the cookies they use — until you accept them through our cookie banner. A few strictly necessary cookies operate regardless of your choice: one that remembers your consent decision, and security cookies used to protect the site and our forms from bots and abuse (including Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form). You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link on our site, which stops these tools from loading on future visits. Declining has no effect on your ability to use the site.
Here is everything that runs on our site and what it does:
Plausible Analytics counts page views using aggregate, anonymous data. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and cannot track you across websites or over time. Because it collects no personal information, it runs regardless of your consent choices.
Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our site. With your consent, it sets first-party cookies (persisting up to two years) to recognize repeat visits.
Google Ads helps us measure whether our advertising works and, with your consent, may also be used to show you our ads on other websites and services (sometimes called retargeting). With your consent, it sets first-party cookies (persisting up to 90 days), and retargeting may involve additional Google advertising cookies. We use these tools to advertise our own services, not anyone else’s. You can opt out at any time via the cookie settings link or a GPC signal, and you can separately manage personalized advertising by Google at adssettings.google.com.
Microsoft Clarity is a session replay and heatmap tool. With your consent, it records how you interact with our pages — clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements — so we can find and fix usability problems. We have configured Clarity to mask the text you type into forms. It sets cookies on our domain and on Microsoft domains, persisting from a single session up to about 13 months. Clarity does not load and does not record anything unless you consent. Microsoft’s handling of this data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Help Scout powers the support beacon so you can reach our team, and stores limited data in your browser to keep your conversation working as you move between pages.
We use Google Tag Manager to load the Google and Clarity tools above; it is configured to withhold consent from all of them by default and releases them only after you accept.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat it as a refusal of advertising cookies — you don’t need to do anything else. Because nothing non-essential loads without your opt-in anyway, older “Do Not Track” signals are effectively honored too.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries — if you request a quote through our contact form, we will follow up by email or phone
- Evaluate your job application and communicate with you during the hiring process, if you apply for a position
- Send you our newsletter and occasional information about our services, if you’ve subscribed; every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
- Measure whether our advertising works
- Keep our website secure and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate, and only for the purposes described above:
- Google LLC — website analytics, advertising measurement, and form spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
- Microsoft Corporation — session replay and usability analytics (Clarity)
- Help Scout PBC — customer support platform
- Plausible Insights OÜ — cookieless, privacy-focused analytics
- Campaign Monitor — sending our newsletter and managing subscriptions
- Our website hosting and infrastructure providers
Each processes data on our behalf under terms limiting what they can do with it. Beyond service providers, we would disclose personal information only if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mintbit or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business — in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy, to the extent the law and circumstances allow.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process data primarily there, though some operate infrastructure in other countries — for example, Plausible processes its cookieless analytics in the EU. If you visit from outside the US, personal information we collect will generally be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your jurisdiction’s.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact and quote inquiries for as long as needed to respond and for our business records afterward. We keep job application materials for as long as needed for our hiring process and our record-keeping obligations, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Your email address stays on our newsletter list until you unsubscribe. Analytics and session data is retained according to each provider’s settings. We may retain information longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights over your personal information — such as the right to know what we have about you, to access or receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any rights available to you, email privacy@mintbit.com; we’ll verify your identity using the email address associated with your information and respond as applicable law requires. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Regardless of where you live, you can opt out of advertising cookies at any time via the cookie settings link on our site or by sending a GPC signal, and you can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message.
Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent (for non-essential cookies, analytics, session replay, and marketing email), our legitimate interests (in operating, securing, and improving our website, responding to inquiries, and evaluating job applications), and legal compliance. You may withdraw consent at any time, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@mintbit.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law of any breach affecting your information.
Changes to This Policy
When we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top and post a notice on our website, and may provide additional notice, such as email, when the changes warrant it.
